Chrissy

Chrissy

Founder and Impassioned Italian language learner

I’m a language learner just like you! This program is what I as a learner have always craved. The chance to soak in my surroundings and hone my language skills and practice my Italian in a natural and effortless setting. Spending the mornings in lessons to fine-tune my skills and the afternoons to let the Italian in me bloom. I’m so excited to bring this possibility and share what I’ve been fortunate enough to experience over the years with all of you.

Ersilia

Ersilia

Teacher

Ersilia hold the CEDILS certification from the Università Ca’ Foscari in Venice and is originally from the beautiful city of Salerno. She has taught Italian all over, sharing her love for the language and culture far and wide! Since she is originally from Salerno, along with to helping students master Italian, she’ll be exploring this village and all its hidden gems right alongside you all. Discovering the sights, history, and probably the best local food together!

Mariachiara

Mariachiara

MariaChiara graduated in Italian Linguistics. She has been teaching Italian as a second and foreign language for seven years in social contexts (minor asylum seekers) and academic contexts (at the Polytechnic University of Milan, at the University of Franche-Comté in Besancon). She also works as a freelancer and is an examiner for CELI - Italian language certification. With a strong passion for foreign languages and reading, she speaks five languages and she often creates reading clubs in Italian for students from all over the world.

Elenora

Elenora

Host

Elenora is part of your tasteful experience of this village life—literally! She organizes cooking labs (with super mom, Mamma Sonia), preparing delicious meals, sharing not just food but a love of our language and culture. When she’s not busy with Footsteps Through Time, you'll find her working in the bistro with the rest of her family like her dad, aunt, sister and, of course, mom. Cooking with love and using local ingredients is a mainstay here in this welcoming village (and they know how to enjoy a good meal!). Mamma Sonia is the head chef, and nothing happens in this kitchen without Mamma Sonia's approval. She runs the kitchen like a well-seasoned general, and we wouldn't have it any other way—because when Mamma's happy, everyone eats well! 😊

Alessandra

Alessandra

Host / Accompagnatrice guide

Born in nearby Ferrentino, she is well versed in the Ciociaria sub-region. Her family and love for the sea keep her life full and exciting! Alessandra is accompagnatore turistico and loves meeting people and showing them her beloved area. She has a passion for being a host; it’s such a joy for her to welcome guests and connect with students from all over.

All of this is possible through the excitement and collaboration of the local Commune and Pro Loco organizations, as well as the warm and welcoming community and local establishments.

❤️ THANK YOU for for this collaboration! ❤️
